Your support ensures that Big Brothers Big Sisters continues the important mentoring work that we’ve been performing in Northeast Pennsylvania since 1974. Research has proven that having a Big Brother or Big Sister helps children avoid drug and alcohol abuse, do better in school, get along with others and gain self-confidence.

For about $1,200 a year, we can match a Big Brother, Big Sister or couple to a child for … [Continue Reading]

    Little Moments! Big Magic!

Together, we are changing what is means to grow up in America.  Start making a difference today!

In our own lives, each of us was touched by someone -other than our parents- who introduced us to new worlds, and brought a little magic into our lives…catching fireflies for the first time, flying a kite, a first trip to the ballpark, building sandcastles at the beach, eating … [Continue Reading]

How Your Donation Helps

Big Brothers Big Sisters receives more than half of its operating income from private donations. The program's success depends on contributions that it receives from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bridge serves hundreds of children in Northeast Pennsylvania, however there are so many more that are still waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister.

With your donation, we can recruit, screen, train and match Big Brothers and Big Sisters with the children that are on the waiting list. We are committed to matching as many children as we can. The generosity of individuals like you allows us to match more children in your community.

Thank you for your support.
